Antique Jewellery
Antique jewellery is any jewellery that predates the 1930s. The Atlanta Antique Gallery states that jewellery must be at least 100 years old in order to be considered antique.
Types
There are many types of antique jewellery, including rings, necklaces, brooches, miniatures, pennants, bracelets, earrings, cufflinks and watches.
Time Frame
The time frames in jewellery history are the Late Georgian (1760-1837), Victorian (1837-1901), Art Nouveau (1890-1915), Edwardian (1901-1915), Art Deco (1920-1935), and Retro (1935-1950). Jewellery before the Late Georgian era is very hard to find
